comparative1a The discipline of systematics as a method of thinking was developed by the philosopher and educationalist John Bennett about fifty years ago. It is the study of multi-term systems, which distinguishes it from most systems thinking.

The main purpose of systematics was to aid thinking that went beyond binary distinctions, classical logic and linear connections.
