Using Visual Maps in Business & Enterprise lessons
Students at Forest School in Wokingham are encouraged to develop and articulate their thinking collaboratively on a giant whiteboard, effectively a writing wall (ThinkingWall), on which they can use magnetic notes and write and draw as they want in small groups, and then present their thinking to the rest of the class.

For example, using an adapted lesson plan from business studies online Yr 10 students were introduced to a range of enterprise skills and tasked to create a mind map from what they had learned, then cross present their work to other groups.

In a Yr12 lesson, students used the wall to demonstrate their ability to choose the right legal structure for a new or growing company. See lesson plan and prompt sheet with the permission of Forest School.
