A recently completed project using our ThinkingWall products to create a range of collaborative whiteboards for an IT tech hub. Our client Moneypenny wanted to create a working space in part of the IT/Development floor.
A combination of wall mounted ThinkingWall whiteboards with the mobile Freestanders and Dividers was used allowing the space to be changed and altered as required. As part of the same family of products they all use the same high quality drywipe and magnetic receptive surface. They also share a similar clean, simple design aesthetic so work well grouped as a range or collection of products.
Moneypenny are market leaders in the field providing powerful solutions for calls, live chat, front of house and customer service functions. They work with a wide range of digital technologies but wanted a more analogue system for idea generation and collaborative thinking. We often find that clients working in tech industries like the balance of a more hands-on, tangible approach to project planning. The ThinkingWall range offers a wide range of collaborative whiteboards to suit a variety of different spaces and can be combined to create a complete solution.
Our recent blog post Could less technology improve problem solving? looked at the role of the low-tech, traditional whiteboard in high tech environments. It gives some background on why collaborative whiteboards for IT tech hubs can be an ideal solution to aid problem solving and planning.
Whether it’s scoping out a website framework, planning an online marketing campaign or mapping a user or process journey, there is value to using a traditional whiteboard for digital teams. Physically handling elements of the process brings them to life and make visualisation of the challenge easier. Gathering around a range of collaborative whiteboards engages the team and enriches the planning process. Anyone can contribute to a traditional whiteboard session in a way that isn’t possible with a closed team or group online. It’s a great opportunity to gather the wider team too and share progress on a project.
