How do you turn a small office into a flexible workspace that caters for desk working, collaborative whiteboarding, hybrid meetings and client engagement workshops?
Creative and collaborative thinking and planning are essential to tech, fintech and SaaS start-ups. By their nature, such enterprises start as and grow from small highly dynamic teams. There is generally a strong understanding of shared purpose. People both work intensely in their own head-space, and also have on-the-fly stand-up meetings, brainstorms and whiteboarding sessions to align understanding and crack obstacles, as well as more structured meetings and calls.
All of this going on in a small office inevitably means there are trade-offs. Finding the quiet to stay focused; trying to have confidential meetings in an open plan space; presenting professionally if a client visits or just on a Teams meeting; having enough whiteboards when there aren’t enough walls to put them on. The key is in embracing and mitigating all the trade-offs to strike the right balance whereby a space is fit for its many purposes.
That’s the challenge facing start-ups seeking flexibility in a small office space. It was what got Rupert Morrison, founder and CEO of Ārahi Limited searching online for movable whiteboards and acoustic screens, and what led him to our website.
Ārahi had found well located offices in Fitzrovia, London. From a blank canvas they started with desks, chairs, and computers to create a functioning space in which to work together. They knew what kind of space they wanted to get to. Their wish list included some way to separate working desk space from meeting space, but also be able to open things up, always with whiteboards to hand; as well as hybrid meeting tech, and a handle on the acoustic challenges of making a small space as practically effective as possible for all its purposes.
They found exactly what they had been looking for in the ThinkingWall® Acoustic Freestander, that not only gave them a movable office partition, but also gave them magnetic whiteboards and some acoustic benefits thrown in. Having found a flexible solution in the screens, they also opted for writable meeting and informal tables, and additional acoustic wall and ceiling treatments.
Rupert and his team are delighted with the results.
“Logovisual have been a total pleasure to work with through all stages of the process. They demonstrated a clear understanding of what our needs were and came up with creative solutions that totally delivered. In terms of service, they constantly went above the call of duty. They were responsive, professional and fun to work with.
Our team and clients love the Logovisual products. They improve how we work, collaborate, and think. Nothing quite like standing around a white board or writable table….and bashing out ideas. We certainly found the right company to work with”. Rupert Morrison, Ārahi
