Office design has moved far beyond static walls and cubicles, with workplaces evolving into open, collaborative environments. As workspaces open up, noise control becomes essential. Often, traditional acoustic solutions are fixed installations—suspended from ceilings, mounted on walls, or set on static plinths. These can all help reduce noise if needed in specific areas, and create a flow around the office space. However while effective, these can limit flexibility in shaping the space and adapting to the dynamic needs of today’s agile work environments.
That’s why our ThinkingWall mobile acoustic panels stand out. Mounted on wheels, these units give teams control over the layout of their workspace. They’re not only acoustic panels but also multifunctional tools, often featuring whiteboard surfaces, digital screens, or integrated storage options. This mobility and versatility allow for on-the-fly reconfiguration—open up an area, create an intimate setting, or divide a space for focused work, all in minutes.
A great example of ThinkingWall’s impact is the work we completed with Yell. They initially chose our ThinkingWall Mobile Acoustic Freestanders, the first acoustic panels we developed on wheels. In a sleek mid-grey shade, these freestanding units were implemented at two Yell locations, providing flexible space division and effective sound dampening. Shortly afterward, Yell requested additional panels and expanded with our ThinkingWall Mobile Acoustic Curves in vibrant orange, aligning with their brand’s colour scheme and interior design. The result was a visually dynamic, noise-friendly workspace that not only enhanced their brand but also improved the acoustic comfort in their open-plan offices.
Our mobile acoustic panels are available in a wide range of colors as standard, but we also offer the option to work with other suppliers for varied textures, patterns, or materials to best suit your office aesthetic. Every space and team is different, so we’re always prepared to customise a solution that aligns with your brand’s style and functional needs.
