Drywipe Magnetic Column Whiteboard
We are often asked to provide bespoke solutions such as a column whiteboard for offices and workplaces. Typically where a visual thinking space is required but there is very limited wall space available. This is more common in modern open plan offices where we have to think carefully about how to integrate visual thinking products into these environments. These dry wipe, magnetic receptive column whiteboards are an example of a product which uses the available structural elements of a building to transform into a functional working space.
This project is a prime example of modern office development. Designed to an open plan configuration with the aim to promote collaborative working practices. As a systems technology developer our client required plenty of functional space for visual thinking and planning. We opted for a solution to provide this space where walls are not available. The dry wipe and magnetic column whiteboards solution made use of the structural columns throughout the office. Internal walls are removed to create open plan spaces leaving the structural elements in place. These provide the opportunity to support a visual planning product in multiple locations. This helps to create spaces for informal meetings and smaller groups to work collaboratively.
The column whiteboards were designed to match the width of the structural columns that were positioned throughout the office. The boards are frameless and feature a slight standoff with rounded corners to give a clean modern look. This helps them fit with office aesthetics. The magnetic receptive and dry wipe surface is the same high quality finish as our ThinkingWall whole wall whiteboard system. In turn this gives them a long service life with very little maintenance.
